THE CHANGE
IS HAPPENING I WILL START SOMETHING NEW
Leaving
Phnom Pehn in the Morning with a Tuck Tuck to get to the Air Port was a nice
reflective thing to do. Tired from not getting good sleep for the last couple
of days I was cueing up for the check in. I was lucky to find a book in the
last Hotel because I have finally finished the other one. Therefor I had something
which keeps me up and busy. The flight was good and fast, sometimes I was
thinking of what will happen the next few days, weeks. When I arrived I
couldn’t see anyone waiting for me how it was agreed with the Boss form the
company where I will be start working as a Volunteer for the next I don’t know
how many days, months. After two spins around the arriving area I have finally recognised
my name on an A3 piece of paper with the logo of the company which was almost
folded to half while holding the paper and the phone at the same time. Solenne
and Kai Yin picked me with the copy of my passport where I looked totally
different then I do now. I am in a kind of auto mode without talking much and
just following and answering the questions as quick and simple as possible. We
had a ride for about an hour to get to the City on the High way. I had so many
questions, thoughts and impressions running through my head at the same time
that I just decided to absorb and not bother much. Coming from Myanmar,
Thailand and Cambodia I still have a culture-shock here in Kuala Lumpur (KL).
Everything is clean, the highway is without any potholes, there is not much noise
from the horns. I haven’t seen garbage on the streets and I haven’t seen anyone
walking or taking a bike, everything is done by car.
We went
straight to the Mall to get some food. As I didn’t feel well the last few days
I just had to live with that situation and go with the flow. I think I was hungry
anyway therefor it was good for me. First time I went to a Korean restaurant
with the grill inlayed in the table. After great food I got dropped at the
place which I am going to share with two people from the company, took some of
my stuff out of the backpack took a shower and off we go again to go out for
drinks. I meet a few friends from Solenne which are around for their last
night.
Sunday was
here to relax and dive straight into the life from people how live here for
more than a month or 2 years.
My first
day of work was nice; I got to know almost everybody got my own seat and
straight on into work. The office is located in the City Centre of KL on the 7th
floor and is overlooking quite a bit.
WHOEVER doesn’t
know of my new period, I will start Working / Volunteering Work in Kuala Lumpur
/ Malaysia. I have a place to stay and I will be working in the ID (Interior
Design) branch again. I don’t know for how long this will be and I don’t know
what will happen with my travel. I might be on the road soon or later. As I
will be working from Monday to Friday there is less chance for me to take
Pictures and work on my blog. I try to keep you updated and posted. I try to
get some shots done and to share it with you. And I will try to take some time
to get some of my drawings I have done on the Blog as well.
Until then…
…Best
greetings from KL and a happy 2015.
