Traveling to Hsipaw which is the Capital of Shan state was an experience itself. We travelled by Train which is around 100 Years old and is engendered by the English. We travelled 200km and it took more than 11 hours. The rails are uneven which you notice on shaking from left to right and on the jumping train. Going to the toilet on the train is a highly challenge. But the scenery’s and Views are unbelievable beautiful. We passed fields, valleys, rivers, villages and kids playing on streets.
Hsipaw is a
Village between Hills and Mountains between waterfall and Lakes. We did a three
day hick into the Mountains and played with the local kids and I almost lost
one of my eyes while opening a bottle of beer (don’t ask how).
So far the
best destination we have been to in Asia. The food is a delicious around the whole
country and the people are friendly.
