YANGON, Myanmar

From now on the way to travel changed. I am taking public transport, I pay for accommodation and I plan ahead. It must be a great experience to keep traveling as I did before but it’s always more difficult within a group of people. But as we all got along very well I am good with that way of traveling.

Yangon

We arrived at night in Yangon where they forgot about our booking. The people where so nice to accommodate us for free for the first night in one of their Staff’s room. As it was all good for us we got along with the situation and began to discover the city the next day. We had a guide book which was a few years old where it was written that you won’t find any ATM’s or almost no internet. It turned out that this country developed so much does last couple of years that you can even get Wifi at the Pagoda or the gold pounders place. As we walked around town we visited the Shwedagon-Pagoda which is the biggest in the Country. People say that its every Monks aim to visit the Pagoda once in his life.

On the Market we found some guy how was exchanging our US Dollar which is theoretical illegal but in practice it’s a good way to do it as the local tour guide says.

Our first street food experience was rather interesting and worrying because the lady who surfed us was mixing the food with here fingers. She got some rings on and the noodles where cold when we got them. We where joking that food poisoning would have been a great start for all three of us.
